Questions about plans

Is Traklyst free?

Browsing is, always. Looking up a tracklist that is already in the library never costs anything, for anyone. Scanning a set that nobody has scanned before is where the limits above come in, because every scan pays for audio recognition.

What counts as a scan?

One new set, from the moment Traklyst starts listening to it. A set someone already scanned opens straight away and does not use one. A few minutes over the length limit is fine: a 64-minute set still counts as a one-hour set.

What does “fair use” mean for Pro?

Pro scans sets of any length up to 12 hours on its own. Longer recordings, such as a full festival stream, are checked by hand first, so one upload cannot eat the capacity everyone shares.

How do I pay, change or cancel?

Payments run through Polar, which handles the checkout, VAT and invoices. Prices are in US dollars; in the EU you pay €4.49 or €11.49 including VAT, and a yearly plan costs ten months. Change plan, update your card or cancel any time under Manage subscription in your account; a cancelled plan runs until the end of the period you paid for.

What is the beta price?

Traklyst is in beta, and the first 50 subscribers pay less: $4.49 a month for Starter and $11.49 for Pro. You keep that price for as long as your subscription runs, also after the beta. New subscribers after that pay $5.99 and $13.99. Cancel and come back later, and the price at that moment applies.

Why do some tracks stay unidentified?

Unreleased music, edits and bootlegs are not in any recognition database, whichever plan you are on. How Traklyst works explains what it can and cannot find.
