Terms of use
Last updated 12 October 2026.
These terms apply to everyone who uses Traklyst. By using the site you agree to them. They are written to be read; if anything is unclear, ask.
1. What Traklyst is
Traklyst builds tracklists of DJ sets that are publicly available on YouTube and SoundCloud, by combining tracklists people published with audio recognition. Traklyst is in beta: features and limits can change while it grows.
2. Fair use
- Use Traklyst for your own listening and digging, within the limits shown on the pricing page.
- Do not get around those limits, for example by switching networks, clearing cookies or creating extra accounts to get more free scans.
- Do not scan or scrape Traklyst with scripts or bots, and do not try to break its security.
- Do not paste links to recordings that are private, or that you have no right to share.
Traklyst can limit, pause or refuse scans, and suspend accounts, when these rules are broken or when capacity runs out.
3. Tracklists are public
Every scanned set gets a public tracklist page that anyone can find, including through search engines. If you are signed in, your account is not shown on that page unless you choose to be credited.
4. Accuracy
Tracklists are generated automatically. Published lists can be wrong, and audio recognition can miss tracks or match the wrong version. Each entry shows whether the audio confirmed it, but Traklyst does not guarantee that any tracklist is complete or correct. Check before you rely on it, for example before buying a record.
5. Other people's content
The mixes belong to their uploaders and the music to its artists and labels. Traklyst does not host or share the recordings; it links to the original upload and to stores and streaming services. Artists, labels and uploaders can ask for a tracklist to be removed through the contact form.
6. Accounts
Keep your login details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens with your account. You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time.
7. Paid plans
Starter and Pro are sold by Polar Software, Inc. as merchant of record: Polar takes the payment, charges the VAT or sales tax that applies to you and sends the invoice, under its own buyer terms, which you accept at checkout. What a plan includes is on the pricing page.
A plan renews automatically every month or year until you cancel. You can cancel at any time under Manage subscription in your account; the plan then runs until the end of the period you paid for, and is not renewed. Scans left in a month do not carry over. Deleting your account cancels the plan straight away.
A single scan is sold the same way, as a one-time payment that does not renew. It stays on your account until a scan starts with it, and a scan that finds no tracks gives it back. A single scan you have not used is refunded if you ask within 14 days of buying it, through the contact page.
8. Availability and liability
Traklyst is offered as it is, without a promise that it is always available. As far as the law allows, Traklyst is not liable for indirect damage or lost profits resulting from using it, or from a tracklist being wrong. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.
9. Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top shows the latest version; significant changes that affect account holders are announced by email.
10. Applicable law
Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to go to a court where you live.
